Price Groups allow you to create different groups for your customers to automatically apply a discount for all sales for the customers in the group e.g. a VIP discount group that receives 25% off all purchases. Using Price Groups will allow you to easily manage the discount value for all customers.
Price Groups can further be extended by:
- Combine with the Loyalty feature to automatically add customers to Price Groups as they reach specific point levels
- Using the Price Groups as a filter e.g. Customer Search
📋 Note: If running a promotion that would award the customer a bigger discount, they will receive the largest discount available and not their Price Group discount.

To create a new Price Group:
- Navigate to Settings > Price Groups > Price Groups
- Enter a name for the group in the Group Name field e.g. VIP
- Enter the value for the discount e.g. a 25% discount would be entered as "25"
- Select the Group Rule to determine how the discount is calculated (see below for further details)
- Click Create
Price Groups can be assigned to customers by editing the Customer directly in Retail Express or using the Customer Mass Download/Upload process
Tip: You can edit or delete Price Groups by clicking the Pencil or Trash Can icon in the table of displayed Price Groups (click the Tick icon after editing to confirm the changes).
