You can configure accurate freight and delivery charge handling in Retail Express to ensure your retail operations properly capture all order costs, helping improve profitability and maintain transparent customer pricing. This capability allows retail operators to apply appropriate shipping fees based on delivery methods and locations, which helps ensure accurate order totals and proper revenue tracking.
Setting up proper freight charge workflows enables your retail team to handle various delivery scenarios efficiently, from local delivery to interstate shipping, helping optimize order fulfilment operations while maintaining customer transparency. This helps retail operations accurately reflect true order costs while streamlining the checkout process for delivery-based purchases.
If you are delivering or shipping goods to your customer, you may need to charge a freight cost to your customer. This can be added directly to the sale within POS on the "Products" tab and displayed on the invoice.
📋 Note: Freight is not a product, it's a separate field altogether. The cost of freight is added to the value of the products to form part of the Sales Order total value.
