Retail Express Price Groups can be used to group your customers into a variety of discount groups, for example, VIP customers that automatically receive 20% off or fixed prices. These groups can be assigned to your customers at POS so they can receive special discount rates and price structures.
Tip: Price Groups can be combined with Loyalty schemes to automatically increase Price Group based on points accrued/purchase history. Once the Customer is added to a sale, pricing associated with the customer's assigned Price Group will be applied to products added to the sale.
To manage the Customer Discount Group in POS:
- Create a sale in POS
- Click on the Customers tab
- Add a customer to the sale (if resuming/editing a sale and the customer has already been selected click Edit Customer)
- Click the green Discount Group button on the right

- Select a Discount Group by clicking the radio button in the Active column (see further below in this article for details on each column)

- Click Done
- The Price for any products on the sale will be updated based on the Discount Group accordingly
- Continue to process the sale as required

If you are using a Loyalty system with points you can set a "Points Threshold" where customers are automatically added to Price Groups based on how many points they have accrued. The applicable number of points required to move to the indicated group will be displayed in this column.
