Finished Goods at Warehouse
Sync is the source of truth for inventory (inventory items are not created in Retail Express).
Finished goods marked for sale via the Sync system will be injected into Retail Express (including available stock at the Warehouse). The product will be created in Retail Express (including inventory levels and pricing). A list of synchronised fields are available in the Inventory Planning API documentation (refer to section 7.7 - SaveProducts).
Important: The cost must be updated in Retail Express to ensure that Transfers generated in Retail Express have the correct average cost.

Create Purchase Order
POs generated from Retail Express will update Sync where the source location is the Warehouse (an Internal Sales Order will be created in Sync). Sync is then used to replenish stock for the Warehouse; upon receiving stock at the warehouse, Retail Express inventory levels will be updated.

Receive Purchase Order
Warehouse - Sync is used to receive stock. Upon receiving stock at the warehouse, Retail Express inventory levels will be updated. Retail
Stores/Outlets - Retail Express is used to receive stock

Create Internal Warehouse to Store Transfer
Retail Express is used to manage Stock Replenishment from the warehouse to the stores (creating Transfers to manage the process).

Create Wholesale Sales Order
Wholesale Sales Orders are not created within Retail Express, nor does Retail Express create wholesale orders.
Retail Express will be updated with any stock committed at the warehouse.

Warehouse Inventory Control
Sync is the source of truth for the warehouse; Retail Express will mirror the available warehouse inventory managed via Sync.
When the Sync system commits stock at the warehouse an inventory adjustment will be created in Retail Express i.e. any stock movement via the Sync system that affects the warehouse. When a Sales Order is shipped/received, or for any other stock commitment via Sync, Retail Express is automatically updated via an inventory adjustment.

Retail Customer Sales Order Fulfilment - Store
Retail Express will always manage the fulfilment of store stock e.g. items on layby, click and collect etc

Retail Customer Sales Order Fulfilment - Warehouse
Sync manages all warehouse fulfilment. When dispatched from the warehouse, Sync will update the fulfilment details within Retail Express. Retail Customer sales affecting the warehouse includes:
- Web orders to be fulfilled from the warehouse
- Instore sales where the item is fulfilled and delivered from the warehouse

Wholesale Customer Order Fulfilment
Managed using Sync. When a wholesale order is posted via Sync the inventory movement will be reflected in Retail Express. When Sync reserves stock at the warehouse, an inventory adjustment will be created in Retail Express.

Web Order Fulfilment from Store
Retail Express always manages the fulfilment of store stock.

Web Order Fulfilment from Warehouse
Managed using Sync. When dispatched Sync updates the Retail Express fulfilment details. Shopify is directly integrated with Retail Express.

Shopify Images
Images for Shopify are managed using Sync.
