Bulk editing of your customers can be managed using the Customer Mass Download/Upload functionality, making it highly efficient when you need to make changes quickly. This includes the ability to bulk enable or disable loyalty, for example when launching a new incentive program for your customers.
To perform a Mass Download of all your Customers:
- Navigate to: Customers > Customer Management > Customer Mass Download
- Click Start New Download if required
- Use the filters to select your customers as required
- Click Download
- A file will be generated based on the filters
Tip: You can navigate away from this page and come back.
- Once the file has been generated click Download CSV
- Open the downloaded file
- Locate the column LoyaltyEnabled
- To enable loyalty, enter TRUE into the cell for each of your customers
Tip: If you're enabling Loyalty for all customers, you can copy/paste this value into all cells.
- To disable loyalty enter FALSE into the cell
- Save the file to your computer
- Within Retail Express navigate to Customers > Customer Management > Customer Mass Upload
- Follow the instructions in the Customer Mass Upload article to process the changes to your customer records, and enable loyalty
