View Product Costs (Sell Price, COGS, GP etc)

When editing pricing at POS you need to make informed decisions. Viewing the total cost of goods, GP and discounts will ensure you're well placed to determine an appropriate discount level without greatly affecting your profit margin.

Tip: Using the Retail Express POS Security Features you can enable/disable the Show Costs feature for your staff. For more information refer to the article Products - Block staff from seeing Cost Prices in Back Office and POS.

Viewing Cost Price Information within POS

To view the costs within POS:

Create a sale
Add a Product to the sale
Click the Show Costs button at the bottom of the Product Listing
The Show Costs screen will load with pricing, costs, gross profit and discount related information. The information is displayed at both the product line item level, and an Order Total level.
Review the information
Click Done to return to the sale
