Windows 7 End of Life
Microsoft officially discontinued support for Windows 7 as of January 14, 2020. As the product is now "End-of-Life" Microsoft no longer offers technical assistance, software updates and most importantly, security updates. Read more about the update from Microsoft here.
In addition, Google has forced an update to Chrome that prevents Windows 7 users to be able to perform specific functions from the browser.
Upgrade Options
You may be able to keep your existing computer and upgrade the software only if your computer specifications meet the requirements. Otherwise, you may need to look at purchasing a new computer.

Current Issues
Retail Express has provided temporary solutions below to current known compatibility issues from Windows 7, however, this is provided without warranty. These solutions should only be implemented by an experienced user or by engaging a computer technician to review your requirements prior to making any changes.
Note: The following steps should only be performed by an experienced user or Computer Technician
Unable to install/use Hardware Utility
Symptoms:
- Unable to install Hardware Utility; or
- Trying to run Hardware Utility and encountering the error "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor"
You will need to enable an updated TLS version on windows 7. This can be done by:
- Installing a Windows Update
- Updating the Windows Registry
