The Reporting on Customer Type feature allows businesses to create targeted reports that classify customers into various types. This functionality helps in understanding customer segmentation, analyzing purchase behavior, and tailoring marketing or operational strategies to meet specific customer needs.
With the POS we have a customer field "Customer Type" this field is selectable at POS in a sale once you have added a existing Customer or if your adding new Customer into the system:

If your then wanting to Report on Sales made by Customer Type, for example you want to see a report of all of the Sales for your Customer Type - "Wholesale" you can do this from the Sales Report in:
Reports > Sales Reports > Sales Report > Select the desired Date range and outlet > Then select the Customer Type:

Perhaps also tick the "Do Not Summarize by Outlet" check box at the bottom of the filters and click View Report.
