What is caching?
Caching is temporary storage space on your hard disk where recently viewed web pages are held. Cache allows you to quickly load a previously visited web page without having to reload the page, and its images from the web server on subsequent visits. Settings can be changed to specify the location on the hard disk, the amount of space allocated to it, and the frequency in which pages are stored.
More simply, when a resource is cached it is stored on your computer temporarily so you don’t have to re-download it each time you visit a website.
Why disable caching?
Maropost Commerce employs advanced caching as part our effort to keep your website as fast as possible. This is a good thing for your users but often as a developer you may need to make quick changes to your site. When making these changes you often want two things, to see the changes you are making instantly, and/or to push those changes out to your users without any delay.
How to turn off caching

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Settings & Tools > Web Accelerator.

You can either check the Web Development Mode box or set the Web Accelerator Settings to Turn Off Web Accelerator. If you choose the latter, be sure to turn it back on once you’re done.
