Printer Setup
To install and set up your printer please follow these steps:
-
Connect the power cord to your printer and the wall outlet.
-
Connect USB data cable from your printer to your PC.
-
Connect the communications cable from your printer to your cash drawer.
-
For the TSP100LAN - Hold down the feed button and power up the printer. This will cause it to print a settings page with and IP address on it, which we will use during configuration.
If the IP address appears as 0.0.0.0 please contact your system administrator for assistance adding the printer to your network.
-
Download the drivers for your printer on the Star website. Set the product type to TSP100futurePRNT.
-
Select the Drivers tab and pick futurePRNT V7.3 Lite (under Recommended) to download the driver.
-
Once the drives have downloaded, extract the files.
-
Open the folder and double click the Autorun.exe installer.
-
Click Installation and choose I Accept.
-
Follow the steps in the install wizard to install the software.
If you have the ECO model skip the next steps, as they only apply to the LAN model.
-
Once the software has finished installing, run it by going to your C:\Program Files (x86)\StarMicronics\TSP100\Software\
folder.
-
Open the folder here and double click the TSP100LAN_BT_Setting file. It will look for the printer on your network.
-
Click Printer Queue and set it as your default printer if you wish. Then click Apply.
If you're using POS in a browser you can now print receipts like you would any other browser page. For iPad instructions refer to the next section.
