Add a Custom Customer Field

To add custom fields to your customers:

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Settings & Tools > All settings & tools.
Click on the Customers tab and click Custom Customer Fields.
Click Add New button on the top right hand side.

Add the details of your new custom field using the table below as a guide:

Field Name	Description
Misc Field	This will be the base tag name, eg. [@misc2@]. If unsure leave this field as is.
Field Name	This will be the field name as presented on the customer card.
Field Type	You can make this a text or short text field (255 character max), date, integer number, decimal number, True/False field or a selection box.
Show on Website	The ability for customers to see this in their account.
Field Description	Add an explanation of this field.

Click the Save button.

Your custom field now appears on all customer cards, and can be populated manually or via import.
