Add a Contact List
Contact lists help you organise your subscribers into specific groups, for different purposes.
Please Note: Contact lists do not sync with email marketing integrations, but can be exported in a CSV file.
To add a new contact list:

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Marketing > Contact lists.

Click the Add new list button.

Fill in the fields for your contact list:
Field Name | Description |
---|
List Name | Name your list so you know what subscribers it is for. |
Status | Set this field to Active. |
Subscribers in this list | If you want customers who choose to subscribe to newsletters added automatically, choose Users only or Users and subscribers. |
Email type | Marketing lists are for subscribers that want to receive your advertising. Notification lists are separate so that you can let non-subscribers know about non-advertising changes (e.g. updates to policies). |
Description | Enter a description for your contact list (optional). |

Click the Save & close button.
Your contact list is added, and you can now add subscribers to it.
Add a New Subscriber
Email subscribers can be added even if the recipient doesn’t have a customer card in your control panel. To add a subscriber:

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Marketing > View Subscribers.

Click the Add new subscriber button.

Add the subscribers email address, and opt them in to the emails you want them to receive.

Click on Fields. Here you can enter more information about the subscriber. If they make an account on your site, these details will automatically update from the customer card.

Click on Member of lists. You contact lists display here, and you can add the subscriber to these lists by setting the drop down menus to Active and Opt In.

Click the Save button. Your subscriber is created and added to your lists.
Tip: Click the Create User button and enter a username to make an account for your subscriber.

Click the Generate data button to queue a process that will update your contact lists.
Unsubscribe or Remove a Subscriber
To stop a subscriber from receiving your emails:

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Marketing > View Subscribers.

Click the checkboxes next to the subscribers you want to unsubscribe or remove.

At the bottom of the page, click the With # Selected button.

To remove from a specific list, hover over Unsubscribe from and click the specific list. Alternatively, click Delete to remove the subscriber completely.

Export Subscribers and Contact Lists
Subscribers are not automatically synced with your email marking integrations unless they are a customer or prospect. Instead, you will need to export your subscribers regularly and import them into your email marketing system.
There’s two ways to perform the export, on the subscribers page, and contact list page.
Subscribers
To export a list of your email subscribers:

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Marketing > View Subscribers.

At the top of the page, click the Export button, and then click Export results as .CSV file.
The file will be downloaded to your computer automatically.
To export the subscribers on a specific contact list:

In your Maropost Commerce control panel navigate to Marketing > Contact lists.

Click on the contact list you want to export.

At the top of the page, click the Export button.
Tip: You can also set filters on this page to only export specific subscribers on the list.
The file will be downloaded to your computer automatically.
