Not all products can be shipped in a single carton, with a single set of dimensions. Flat pack furniture sets are a common example. A table and several chairs will each have a separate carton for ease of transport and warehousing.
Products that are shipped in 2 or more boxes can have their individual carton sizes defined on the product page. This gives your customers a more accurate shipping cost, and simplifies the consignment and dispatch process.
To add the carton breakdown:
- In your Neto by Maropost control panel, navigate to Settings & tools > All settings & tools.
- Select Advanced configuration.
- Search in the name field for
SHIPCOST_CAL_CARTONS. - Click on it in the results, change the value to Yes, and click the Save Changes button.
This setting ensures the carton breakdown is used when calculating shipping costs.
- Open the product that needs the carton breakdown defined.
- Scroll down to the shipping section, and click the Carton breakdown button.
- Click the Add Carton button, and enter the carton dimensions and quantity.
Repeat this step until all of the product cartons have been entered.
- Click the Save button.
