Multilevel Pricing in Neto POS allows you to offer tiered pricing on products, automatically applying lower unit prices when customers purchase in higher quantities. This helps incentivise larger orders by surfacing the most favourable price point for each customer at the time of sale.
When a product with multilevel pricing is added to a POS transaction, the system evaluates the customer's assigned customer group and applies the matching price band automatically. The next available price band and the quantity required to unlock it are shown on screen, giving your floor staff visibility into pricing tiers without manual lookup.
Prerequisites
Before enabling multilevel pricing on a POS register, confirm the following:
- The “Multilevel Pricing” add-on is installed in your Neto account.
- “Price Bands” are already configured for your products. Refer to the Multilevel Pricing article for setup guidance.
Enabling Multilevel Pricing Setting
You must enable multilevel pricing separately on each POS register where you want to use it.
- Log in to your POS register. Open the navigation panel and select Settings.
- Locate the Enable Multilevel Pricing toggle and enable it.
Note:Repeat the above steps for utilizing multilevel pricing for each additional POS register.
Multilevel Pricing Behaviour on Neto POS
Once enabled, multilevel pricing calculates price bands for all products synced in the background. The price applied to each order line reflects the customer group assigned to the register, or the active customer in the transaction, which is part of the customer group.
When you add a product with multilevel pricing to a sale, the unit price updates automatically to reflect the current price band. The next available price band and the quantity required to reach it are displayed beneath the order line.
You can check all price bands available for a product from the Production Information (i) panel.
- Locate and select the Production Information (i) panel for the product via its thumbnail or cart orderline.
- Click on any price with an information icon (i) to view all available price bands for a product.
- If you view a Parent Product (a product with multiple variants), only the variants that have price bands configured will display additional price band information. Variants without price band configuration will not show pricing tier details.
- When the price information icon (i) is selected, a pop-up appears on screen showing all available price bands for the current product. By default, the pop-up will reflect the price bands for the current customer group. You can select to view price bands for a different customer group or for all customer groups using the Price Group dropdown in the pop-up.
Note:You cannot select a different price group from within the pop-up. The dropdown is for display reference only, showing how pricing differs across groups. - When an order is completed through Neto POS, the printed or digital receipt reflects the unit price where the price band level was applied during the transaction. This price is also recorded in the order line tab of the order record.
