After you have created a product feed template, it is ready to be used for generating product recommendations. Your next step is to insert the template within the email draft and use it as content for your email campaign.
Inserting Recommendations in Email Content
To use product recommendations, you can insert the product feed template into your email content, which can then be used in the email campaign. The product feed templates that have been created in your account are available as tags in the content editors.
All content editors in Marketing Cloud support inserting product feed templates.
In the WYSIWYG editor, select the product feed template from the Product Feed Template Tags drop-down list.
In the Drag-and-Drop editor, select the product feed template from the Merge tags drop-down list.
Sending Emails with Product Recommendations
If you want to send an email campaign with product recommendations, you must insert the product feed template in the content that you are going to use for the campaign. In step 3 of campaign creation, you can select the content. You can also see a content preview by turning on the Dynamic content preview toggle.
In the content preview, the product feed template tags are replaced with the actual product recommendations. However, keep in mind that the recommendations are dynamic and refreshed when the email is sent. So, the recommendations you see in the preview may vary from the ones sent in the email.
