Archive Management lets you keep your email marketing resources organized while maintaining a clean, clutter-free workspace focused on active campaigns. By preserving essential historical data separately from your primary working areas, it helps streamline your overall marketing workflow.
Well-maintained archives can significantly boost operational efficiency, while clean, structured interfaces make it easier for marketing teams to find active resources quickly, while still retaining valuable campaign history for reference and compliance necessities.
Accessing and Managing Archives
Marketing Cloud offers archiving support across a wide range of items and provides a centralized location where you can view and manage all archived content with ease.
- To access this feature, go to the navigation panel and click on Settings.
- Scroll under the Others category and select Archives.
- The archives index page gets displayed with the following layout:
Item type: An asset created in Marketing Cloud that is presently archived. The archives inventory currently stores these asset types: Campaign Tag, Contact List, Segment, Content, and Dynamic Content.
Status: It displays whether an asset is "archived" or "unarchived."
Created At/Archived At: It shows the dates at which these resources were created and archived.
Actions: It allows you to unarchive or delete an item from inventory.
Filter: You can sort through your archived materials based on their asset type, located in the top-right corner of the index page.
- You can also access the archives page from the index pages of the supported assets by clicking on the View Archives button.
- To archive an item, visit the supported assets index page and avail the archives option. For example, if you wish to archive an email content, head to the Email Content index page, hover over the Actions column next to the content, and from the dropdown menu, click on Archive Content.
