Maropost Identity Password Reset & MFA Setup – What You Need to Do

To help maintain the security of Maropost Identity accounts, users are required to set a new password and complete their account security setup.

From 6 October 2026, the first time you log in to Maropost, you may be required to reset your password, configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and save a new set of recovery codes before continuing.

Before you begin: Neto users who have not moved to Maropost Identity

Some Neto users are still using their existing Neto username and password and have not yet been linked to Maropost Identity.

If this applies to you, you do not need to complete the Maropost Identity password reset.

When you reach the Maropost Identity login page:

Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Select Login with Legacy Credentials.
You will be taken to the Neto login page.
Sign in using your existing Neto username and password.

Do not use Forgot Password on the Maropost Identity page if your Neto account has not yet been linked to Maropost Identity.

If you are unsure whether your account has been migrated, or you cannot log in using Legacy Credentials, please contact Maropost Support.

Resetting your Maropost Identity account

If you use Maropost Identity, follow these steps:

Go to your normal Maropost login page.
Select Forgot Password.
Enter the email address you use to log in to Maropost.
Check your email for the password reset message.
Open the most recent reset email and create a new password.
Continue through the account security setup.
Save your new recovery codes somewhere secure.
Configure your authenticator app for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when prompted.
Complete the login process and continue into your Maropost product.

Your previous recovery codes and previous authenticator configuration may no longer be valid after the reset, so make sure you complete the new security setup presented during login.

What happens to my authenticator and recovery codes?

As part of the account reset, your previous recovery codes and authenticator configuration are also reset.

After creating your new password, Maropost Identity will guide you through:

Saving a new set of recovery codes
Configuring your authenticator app
Completing your MFA setup

Keep your new recovery codes somewhere secure. Any recovery codes from your previous setup will no longer be valid.

MFA is required for Maropost Identity users, including users who may not have previously configured an authenticator.

Troubleshooting

I am not receiving the Forgot Password email

Password reset emails can take a few minutes to arrive.

Please first:

Check your spam or junk folder.
Confirm you entered the same email address you normally use to log in to Maropost.
Avoid repeatedly requesting new reset emails while waiting, as you should always use the most recent reset link.

If the reset email still does not arrive, please submit a Maropost Support request and include:

Your store name
The email address you use to log in to Maropost

Our Support team can then assist you with restoring access to your account.

I see an “Action expired” message

If you see Action expired after opening a password reset link, that link is no longer valid.

This can happen if another password reset request has been generated after the email you opened.

Please:

Return to the Maropost login page.
Select Forgot Password again.
Enter your Maropost login email address.
Wait for the newest reset email.
Open the most recent email only.
Use the reset link from that email.
Do not use links from earlier password reset emails.

Once your password has been reset, continue through the recovery-code and MFA setup.

If the newest reset link also shows Action expired, please contact Maropost Support.

My authenticator code says invalid

If your password has been reset but your authenticator code is not being accepted, your authenticator app may still be using your previous Maropost configuration.

You do not need to install another authenticator app if you already have one.

Instead:

Start the Maropost login process again.
When Maropost displays a new QR code, do not skip this step.
Open your authenticator app.
Remove the existing Maropost / maropost.com entry.
Scan the new QR code displayed by Maropost.
Save your new recovery codes when prompted.
Use the new 6-digit code generated by the newly configured Maropost entry.

Codes generated from your previous Maropost authenticator setup will no longer be valid after the account reset.

If the newly configured authenticator code is still not accepted, please contact Maropost Support.

The Password reset required message on the Maropost Identity login page is currently a general notice and may still appear after you have successfully completed your account setup.

If you have already:

Reset your password
Saved your new recovery codes
Completed your MFA/authenticator setup
Successfully accessed your Maropost product

you do not need to reset your password again.

If you are unable to access your Maropost product after logging in, please contact Maropost Support.

Frequently asked questions

I already use an authenticator app. Do I need another one?

No.

You can continue using your existing authenticator app. However, if Maropost Identity asks you to configure MFA again, you will need to create a new Maropost entry in that app using the new QR code displayed during setup.

Your previous Maropost authenticator entry may no longer generate valid codes.

I haven’t used MFA before. What do I need to do?

After resetting your password, Maropost Identity will guide you through the MFA setup.

Follow the on-screen instructions to scan the QR code with your authenticator app and enter the generated 6-digit code.

You will also be asked to save a set of recovery codes. Keep these somewhere secure.

I recently changed my password. Do I need to reset it again?

You may still be required to create a new password as part of the current account security reset, even if you recently changed your password.

If prompted, select Forgot Password and follow the latest instructions presented during login.

Why am I being asked to reset my password and security setup?

The reset is being completed to help maintain the security of Maropost Identity accounts.

Please complete the password reset and any account security steps presented when you next log in.
