Merchandising Cloud synchronizes product data from an external commerce platform so it can power search, discovery, and merchandising decisions.
Data Preview allows you to verify what product data is currently synchronized into Merchandising Cloud. It exposes the final version of product data used by the system, including any field-related rules applied during integration.
The page displays the final product data stored in Merchandising Cloud after integration rules have been applied.
You can use this view to:
- Verify synchronized product data
- Confirm how field rules affect specific fields
To access
- Go to Fields & Filters.
- Select Data Preview.
On this page, you will be able to see how products are being listed. You can also use search section to filter out the products.
How It Works
On this page, product data is synchronized from an external commerce platform into Merchandising Cloud. Here, Data Preview shows the final product data after these rules have been applied.
During integration, a field rule may be applied to adjust how specific product fields are stored. Because of this, the data in Merchandising Cloud may differ from the original data in the external platform.
This feature affects data visibility only, not system behavior. It allows you to inspect product data but does not modify or override the underlying records.
Save / Apply Changes
Data Preview is a read-only view of synchronized product data. Any changes to product information must be made in the external platform that provides the product catalog.
Note: Data Preview does not modify or override product data. It only displays the data currently synchronized into Merchandising Cloud.
