When posting a new topic
- Save some e-trees by using the search function to see if the topic already exists before posting your own.
- If you're asking for help troubleshooting an issue, provide as much information as possible. Simply saying 'something doesn't work' doesn't help. Mention the steps you've followed leading up to the issue, what you've done to troubleshoot the issue already, any errors you're seeing and relevant screenshots.
- Get the best audience for your post, ensure you're posting in the most relevant topic.
Unacceptable behaviour
We're a friendly bunch and we wish to keep it that way. Below is a list of guidelines we follow to moderate posts within the forums. We may decide to address any problematic behaviour outside of these guidelines at our own discretion. Failure to follow the rules can result in post removals, a warning, suspension or a complete ban based on severity and number of complaints we receive.
Community members must not contribute to:
- The use of foul and derogatory language.
- Belittling or abusing other community members and moderators. Keep feedback constructive, even if others disagree with you. Remember, your actions are on display!
- Posting non-constructive feedback or ranting. Feedback is always welcome, but the forums are not a podium for complaints. Remember the sole purpose of the forums is to be a resource for others.
Example of a good topic: I'm using service X and I can't get it to work, any ideas?
Example of a bad topic: Service X doesn't work, FIX IT!!
- Posting of promotional content, it will be reported as spam and removed. From time to time we may have topics dedicated for this subject.
- Discussions surrounding the use of other e-commerce platforms.
- Spamming the forums through unsolicited services or submitting multiple threads or posts.
- Revealing confidential or private information.
Best practice for contributing
- Keep to the topic on hand. If you have a follow-up question which steers away from the original conversation, start a new thread.
- Personalise your post. Talk a bit about yourself so people can relate to you.
- We all have different levels of expertise so remember to explain your answers in simple and easy to understand steps.
- Remember the rules before posting!
