Updating the Back Office notification sidebar
The Back Office notification sidebar is used to keep customers up-to-date with news, tips and tricks and any other important information. Previous content has included:
- Training Academy updates
- Releases (including a link to release notes)
- Helpful links (typically hardware)
- Tips for common issues (e.g. if there's a particular issue affecting POS, or Internet Explorer updates, we display links to step-by-step articles to help cut down on support queries)
- Tips and useful information
This notification bar is managed via an embedded Zoho form.
To update the notification bar:
- Log into Zoho forms using the contact@ account (otherwise you may not have permission to access the form for editing)
- Open the form Retail Express Notification & News
- Click the main content
- Select Edit Content on the right hand-side
- The editor will open

- Edit the content as required
- The horizontal lines can be a pain to edit; enter some text before/after the line, click at the end of the line and press Delete on the keyboard - the line should be removed

- Click Save
- The changes will be automatically saved
