Blog posts help you share updates, product stories, announcements, and educational content with your customers. They also play an important role in SEO, customer engagement, and brand trust.
Commerce Cloud allows you to create and manage blog posts separately for each sales channel, ensuring your content is always relevant to the storefront it appears on.
To Access
- Log in to Commerce Cloud.
- From the left navigation dashboard, go to Sales Channels.
- Select the sales channel you want to create blogs for
(for example, Furniture Care).
- From the left-hand navigation menu, click Blogs.
Blogs Overview Page
The Blogs page displays all blog posts created for the selected sales channel.
From this screen, you can:
- View existing blog posts
- Check publication status
- Create new blog posts
- Access blog-related settings
Columns You’ll See
- Image – Featured image used for the blog
- Blog Title – Name of the blog post
- Status – Active or Inactive
- Published At – Date the blog went live
- Updated At – Last modification date
- Actions – Manage individual blogs
Create A Blog
When you click Add New Blog, you’re taken to the Create Blog page. This is where you write, organize, and prepare your blog post before publishing it on your storefront.
Each field on this page plays a specific role in how your blog looks, behaves, and performs on search engines.
To create a new blog post:
- On the Blogs page, click Add New Blog.
- You’ll be redirected to the Create Blog page.

Blog Title | The main heading of your blog post that appears on the storefront and in blog listings. | Sets the reader’s expectation and helps customers decide whether to open the blog. Also impacts visibility in search results. |
Content Editor | The main writing area where you add the blog content using text, headings, links, and formatting tools. | This is the core of your blog. Clear, well-structured content improves readability, engagement, and customer trust. |
Blog Status | Controls whether the blog is visible to customers (Active or Inactive). | Allows you to draft and review content before publishing it live on the storefront. |
Blog Template | Pre-defined layout and structure used to display the blog on the website. | Ensures visual consistency across blog posts and controls how content is presented to customers. |
Featured Image | The main image associated with the blog post, shown in listings and previews. | Makes the blog visually appealing and helps customers quickly understand the topic. |
Alt Text (Image) | A text description for the featured image. | Improves accessibility and helps search engines understand the image content. |
SEO Title | The title shown in search engine results. | Improves click-through rates from search engines and supports discoverability. |
Meta Description | A short summary displayed below the SEO title in search results. | Encourages users to click your blog when it appears in search results. |
URL Handle | The web address of the blog post. | Creates a clean, readable URL that is easier to share and better for SEO. |
Author (Organization) | Displays the name of the person or team who wrote the blog. | Builds credibility and helps customers trust the content. |
Save | Saves the blog draft without publishing it. | Allows you to safely work on content without making it live. |
Publish | Makes the blog live on the storefront (when status is Active). | Final step to make the blog visible to customers. |
