OVERVIEW
Marketing Cloud is transitioning from the legacy Classic menu navigation to the new Unified Product menu framework, introducing a consistent and standardized navigation experience across Maropost platforms.
This update restructures how features are grouped and accessed within the application while preserving existing functionality, permissions, and workflows.
The “Unified” navigation model is designed to:
- Improve discoverability of tools
- Align feature organization across Maropost products
- Reduce menu complexity through functional grouping
- Support subscription-based visibility and modular enablement
This release note provides a complete mapping reference between the Classic Marketing Cloud menu tree and the new Unified Navigation experience, helping users locate familiar tools quickly during the transition.
UNIFIED PRODUCT NAVIGATION FRAMEWORK
Marketing Cloud now adopts the Unified Product navigation structure, replacing the previous channel-centric Classic menu.
Key characteristics include:
- A single persistent left-hand navigation panel
- Functional domain grouping within the Marketing menu ecosystem (Campaigns, Acquisition, Automation, Content, etc.)
- Conditional visibility based on subscription level and enabled modules
- Crown indicators showing subscription-restricted features
- Dashboard remains the default landing page in both experiences
NAVIGATION PATHWAY/FLOW UPDATES
Marketing Cloud’s navigation has been reorganized into clearer functional areas, making it easier to locate tools while maintaining the same underlying capabilities.
ANALYTICS
Reporting remains consistent, but Analytics is now presented as a dedicated top-level menu with streamlined groupings. Familiar reports such as eRFM, Campaign, Journey, and Custom Reports can now be found under standardized Analytics paths. Additional report options may vary depending on subscription level.
CAMPAIGNS
Campaign tools have been restructured to separate messaging channels more clearly. Instead of broad campaign groupings, users will now access Email, SMS, Transactional Email, Transactional SMS, and Campaign Tags through distinct navigation routes under Campaigns.
ACQUISITION
Acquisition continues with a relatively unchanged flow, with landing pages, surveys, and classic signup forms being available in the same functional capacity.
CONTACTS AND AUDIENCE
The Classic Audience section has been consolidated into a unified Contacts domain. Contact management tools such as lists, segments, tags, fields, SQL queries, and relational tables are now grouped more logically.
Several supporting tools have also been repositioned:
- Preference Management is now under Content
- Brand Management has moved into Settings
- Cleansing Rules are now accessed through Settings > Contacts
This reorganization improves clarity without impacting existing data or workflows.
AUTOMATION
Automation navigation remains largely unchanged. Journeys and Data Journeys remain available under Automation, with no functional changes.
CONTENT
Content tools have been standardized and reordered for consistency. Email Content, Dynamic Content, Image Library, Preference Management, Countdown Timer, etc., are now grouped under a single Content menu with updated naming conventions. The Product Recommendation has now been moved to the Products menu.
ARCHIVES
Archives is no longer a standalone menu item. In the unified interface, it has been moved to Settings > Connections, aligning it with other administrative configuration options.
SOCIAL AND INTEGRATIONS
Social and Integrations remain accessible as top-level navigation items, with placement maintained in the Unified menu structure.
NAVIGATION VISIBILITY AND ACCESS CONSIDERATIONS
The unified navigation experience is subscription-aware. Certain features may display crown icons indicating tier-specific availability, and only enabled tools will appear in the menu.
This update reflects navigation restructuring only—features have not been removed. If an item from Classic cannot be immediately located, users should consult official documentation or contact Maropost Support.
In summary, this unified product navigation update provides a more intuitive navigation experience while maintaining full functional continuity for existing users. To explore this menu tree layout in detail, visit and read our Classic to Unified Menu Tree Mapping for Marketing Cloud article.
