JetSend, by default, uses its pool of shared IP addresses to send emails on behalf of our customers. However, for an additional charge, you can lease dedicated IPs from JetSend on a monthly basis. While the leased IP address will be exclusive to your account, the JetSend deliverability team will monitor the performance to ensure an optimized IP reputation.
Shared IP vs Dedicated IP
A shared IP address is mapped to multiple domains and is shared among multiple senders. On the contrary, a dedicated IP address is mapped to a single domain only and used by a specific sender. Once you add a dedicated IP to your account, your emails are sent via your dedicated IP rather than a shared IP. You can add multiple dedicated IPs to your plan and the system will balance the volume of emails across your dedicated IPs.
Benefits of a Dedicated IP
Although JetSend ensures good deliverability for all its users, there are some additional benefits in using a dedicated IP, especially for high-volume senders.
- Complete Control Over Your Sender Reputation A dedicated IP is exclusive for your use and therefore, the sending behavior of other senders will not affect your sender reputation. You can build and maintain a good IP reputation over time by sending predictable email volume and following the best practices. When using dedicated IPs, it is recommended that you warm up the IP addresses by sending a limited volume of emails and then gradually increasing the volume. You can then improve the IP address reputation by keeping your sending pattern consistent.
- Easier to Pin-point and Fix Deliverability Issues As a dedicated IP is tied to a specific account, it is relatively easier to troubleshoot and fix any deliverability issue that you may encounter.
Adding and Managing Dedicated IP addresses in JetSend
JetSend makes it simple to add and manage your set of dedicated IP addresses via our customer portal. Dedicated IP tab on Settings Page The Dedicated IP tab on the Email Settings page lists the dedicated IPs that are added to your account. Here, you can click the Add Dedicated IP button to add a new dedicated IP address. You will be billed immediately for the new Dedicated IP address and then the system will lease you a specific address that is exclusive to your account. SETTINGS > Email > Dedicated IP

The Plan tab on the Account Settings page shows the details of your chosen plan along with any add-ons such as dedicated IPs. You can click the + icon to add a new dedicated IP. You will be billed immediately for the new Dedicated IP address and then the system will lease you a specific address that is exclusive to your account. Account Settings > PLAN > Add On
