Email marketing automation is key for eCommerce merchants to retain customers and increase sales. To support this, we're expanding the segment rules used for eCommerce remarketing.
Segment by Product Brand
Your customers know what brands they like. Using the new Product Brand segment you'll be able to introduce your customers to more products from trusted brands with cross-selling and upselling campaigns.
Filter your selection based on:
- How recently they purchased the brand
- The frequency of their purchases
- Monetary Value
Segment by Product Category
We're improving the Product Category selection method, introducing a new hierarchy structure, similar to web stores.
Previously the Product Category filter was based on a formula method, using "begins with", "contains" etc. to build a query of matching categories. This new hierarchy method makes it faster and more efficient to select a range of categories, instead of building multiple rules with different search criteria.
For example, suppose a customer previously bought a product from the Bike Accessories category. With the Product Category segment, you can now easily promote other cycling equipment and accessories they may be interested in, simply by choosing the Cycling and Accessories categories from the drop-down menu.
Changes to Existing Product Category Segments:
When the update becomes available, any existing Product Category segments will be automatically updated to use the new hierarchy structure. We recommend getting in touch with your Customer Success Manager to discuss this further. Alternatively, you can send an email to support@maropost.com.
If you're not using the Product Category segment in your filters there's nothing you need to do.
