It would be great to have a threshold for what constitutes a low stock parent product. Say a parent product with 50% or more out of stock child skus e.g XL and S in stock and M L 2XL out of stock.

 

I would like to treat theses products differently for sales and clearance and so on. I don't necessarily want to restock them but knowing empowers us with our chosen actions with stock management.

Excel is your friend! Neto has really sophisticated import/export of product details. You can tailor a CSV export file with all the fields you want and even schedule it to run regularly, sending to email or FTP.

 

I have a similar system you describe for stock ordering. Ours is too complex to automate so all the sales history data and stock levels come from Neto into a spreadsheet that calculates suggested order quantities for a human to review.

 

You can store your thresholds in Neto using an existing field (Restock Qty, Reorder Qty, Restock warning level, etc) or in new custom fields if those don't suit. Then export all the fields you need to CSV, import to Excel and create as sophisticated formulas as you want. Parent SKU is available as an export field so you can group child data together as you need using some tricky formulas (look into SUMIF)
