Is there an advanced setting where i can turn off/disable the email that gets generated to a customer when they earn rewards points (ie via a purchase) Thx
Not sure why you'd want this off, but there's a way you can prevent it from sending. Edit the email template (Settings & Tools > Email Templates > Reward Program Notifications > Default) and remove the "To" address. That way when the email tries to send it will fail.
Thanks Curtis. What was confusing in the email (which i know I can change) was the advice in the default template about how to claim the reward points earned. I didnt understand the entering codes and keys? Doesn't the customer just login and claim the points under payment methods when they check out. ?

I'd say the email template is the same as the gift vouchers template, in which case the code and key can be removed.
You're right in that they select rewards points as a payment method in the checkout.
