Refresh Quote
Deactivated Member
A customer creates a quote. Then returns to the site at a later date to approve the quote and place the order. Between when they created the quote and decided to buy, products in the quote have become unavailable (not out of stock). However, they are still allowed to purchase the products that are no longer available. Thus I get an order that has products that have been paid for but I cannot supply. This means wasting time with emails, phone calls, suggesting other products, listening to the customer complain about how ridiculous it is that they were allowed to buy a product that no longer exists, crediting an account, refunding blah, blah, blah. Such a huge waste of time for everyone involved. No time wasted for customer and business owner. A better online shopping experience for the customer. When the customer returns to approve quote and order, the cart should be refreshed and if there is products in the order that are no longer available the customer is informed and the items are removed from the cart and they proceed, or find alternatives, add to cart and checkout. Online shopping should be quick and hassle free and not involve exchanging emails or talking on the phone. There is nothing worse than getting an email after you have purchased something online saying "we let you buy a product that doesn't exist, what do you want to do now?"
