Order Receipt email notification.

i have been canceling and deleting all test orders that have been created for testing and noticed that for each order i delete, i get the Order Receipt email notification..

is there a way to disable the Order Receipt email notification from being sent when an order is canceled?(while of course keeping it enabled when an order is completed)

Whether an email notification is sent or not is determined by a checkbox, depending on whether you're editing a single order or in bulk.

 

For a single order, it's labelled "Do not send order/invoice to customer via e-mail" just about the Save Changes button.

 

For bulk processing, it's "Send..." just after the Change Order Status dropdown.

 

Make sure either of these is UNTICKED before you click Cancel.

 

The default setting for these checkboxes can be set with quite a bit of control under All Settings > Order Processing Rules. Look for these settings:

Send order email on save (new orders)

Send order email on save (pick status)

Send order email on save (new / hold status)

Send dispatch notification email on save pack/dispatch status
