We would like to be able to create additional system emails and customise the conditional logic for those emails.
For example, when customers order emails for in-store pickup, it would be good if we could ADD a new system email and customise the conditional logic to say:
- When order status is changed to 'pending pickup', send the "Order ready for collection" system email
Currently customers receive the order receipt system email, which is incredibly generic. There is also no transparency as to the conditional logic that dictates when these emails are sent.
I know we can customise the template with HTML & CSS, but there are many email providers who provide drag and drop email templates and conditional logic functionality on a database (e.g. MailChimp, Vision6 etc.).
Integration with an email marketing provider who has these functions built in would be excellent. That way we could set up all our email templates with, for example, MailChimp and also set up our own conditional logic for when we want the emails sent.
