We would like the option to be able to put separate serial numbers on components of kitted items. Currently when putting serial numbers on different components they are changed to be the same serial number of the first item. Many businesses would need the functionality to have different serial numbers based on batch dates for food, or serial numbers for computer goods that are sold as a kit.
