Ability to edit Custom Report

I was wondering if we can edit performance metrics from old custom report. There are always some performance metrics that I might miss so I have to pull the custom report again, otherwise the result wouldn't be accurate. It would be really helpful if UI can remember my selection and I can edit old custom report by simply adding metrics I missed rather than pulling report from beginning.

Is this for a recurring report or a one-time report? Also, curious if simply running another report is a workaround here.

I agree. I can set a custom report and save it, but if I want to run that same custom report again just by adjusting the dates, I have to duplicate it and create a new one. If we could just edit a report, this would save so much hassle as there are complex reports we would like to run daily that we aren't because it's a pain to create a new one each day.
