Is there a way to increase the FTP connection time out?

Im constantly using FTP to work on my site. The connection seems to expire after about after a minute or so of inactivity. Which drives me insane. I have increasd timeouts/stay alive settings in my FTP client (Globescape) - but it makes no difference. Is thier a way around this?

I have the same problem, and fiddling with the FTP settings doesn't help. The timeout seems to be enforced by the Neto servers. I use WinSCP which automatically reconnects so it's not much of a bother. WinSCP also has an excellent "keep remote up to date" feature which monitors the local directory and automatically uploads files as soon as they change. Soooo good for theme development.

I use Filezilla and my connection never times out.
