This documentation says 50 is the limit https://www.netohq.com/support/s/article/Can-I-add-my-own-additional-and-custom-product-fields-to-populate-with-data#public but in cpanel I think the limit is 52
50 is the limit across all custom field types. The limit is hard coded into the Neto system, and can't be increased by a setting.

Other community members can then comment and vote on the idea to build support, and hopefully see it picked up in the development cycle.
