The Daily Snapshot email is a useful tool for keeping us informed about business performance, particularly when our attention is focused on other areas of the business.
One issue I have noticed relates to the MTD (Month-to-Date) and YTD (Year-to-Date) figures. In Australia, our financial year runs from July to June, while businesses in other countries may operate on different financial year periods.
When reviewing the Daily Snapshot, the MTD and YTD amounts can be misleading, particularly after the start of a new financial year, as the figures appear to be based on a January to December reporting period rather than the business's financial year.
My suggestion would be to add a setting within Settings & Tools that allows businesses to define their preferred reporting period or financial year for the emailed report. This would ensure that MTD and YTD data aligns with the reporting requirements and preferences of each business, making the information more meaningful and easier to interpret.
