We can't purge inventory after Maropost Commerce Cloud Inventory implements product locking. As inventory grows over time, historical archived (non-active) inventory quickly becomes the majority of inventory data and makes it harder and harder to navigate searches and export data. After 5-6 years, 90+ % of our inventory falls into this space, and we need the facility to purge based on aged parameters (e.g. x many years since any transactions). Same applies to customers over time - you end up with most of that database being archival and causing headaches managing / finding the data you care about.
