Are there any reports that show commonly used search terms?

Hi folks,

I'm looking to find some reports in Neto that can give us some information about searches on our webstore. Specifically, if there was data on what search terms people are commonly using, that'd be great.

We'd like to look into where searches are going and if customers are able to find products they're looking for, as well as extra data on our popular products.

I could definitely be wrong, but I don't believe there is a way in Neto. However, if you have Google Analytics set up it is very easy to see what search terms people are using on your site under "Behavior", then "Site Search". As far as product specific stuff, I'm not sure. In GA you can compare data for whether people made a purchase after searching on your site, or if they exited after a search. I know this doesn't address all the data you want, but hopefully it helps!

Anna is correct, you can track site searches in Google Analytics. First make sure you have it installed on your site:

You also need to set up site search:

In Google Analytics, go to Admin > View Settings.

Enable Site search tracking

In Query Parameter, enter kw

Tick Strip query parameters out of URL

Wait a week to collect some data, and then take a look at Behaviour > Site Search > Overview

Google Analytics is a large and complex system. There are some great videos on using it online, and it's worth investing the time to learn. When set up right it is extremely powerful and can answer all your questions about the experience of users on your site.
