Which Tasks update product stock when it is Invented.

Our webpage used to update in close to real time when we invented new stock, and the page descriptions as well, when we made changes. Now it takes hours or even the next day.

Which Tasks control these, and how do I change the frequency of the updates. I can see the task lists but not sure how to make these channges happen quicker.

I suspect you're running into problems with caching rather than scheduled tasks. Neto's scheduled tasks generally only handle lower priority admin tasks like recalculating kitted quantities. Inventory stock and descriptions update internally instantly.

 

The front-end website has several types of caches designed to serve pages faster (since Neto's core is super slow). The main page-level cache usually lasts about an hour. Neto attempts to clear this automatically if something changes with the product but it's not perfect. You can click "Refresh Caches" on the bottom left of the cpanel to immediately clear the whole cache, which should give you a fresh version of the page.

 

There are also block-level caches that theme designers can use to speed up certain elements on the site. Commonly used on product thumbnails, but can be used throughout the site. It's hard to know if these are part of the problem without seeing your site templates - this is a question for your theme developer. These can be particularly tricky to debug because you'll be seeing just part of the page out of date.

You should be using the Advanced Web Accelerator. This is also where you can put the site into development mode which temporarily disables the page-level caches. That may help you figure out what's going on.

 

It could also be a local (browser) cache problem. Either clear your browser cache or try the site in incognito mode to see if it is still out of date.
