How does shipping work on multiples of kitted products?

I have set up standard kitted products. A kitted product is either placed in the cart on the front end of the site or via a sales order in the Cpanel. The shipping weights are correct calculated however if the client buys multiple of that kitted product or the Qty is increased above one in the sales order on the Cpanel is does not increase the shipping weight. Any ideas?

That seems very odd. I can't replicate the problem - increasing the qty of a kitted item instantly increases the shipping weight shown on the order in the control panel. You might have to contact support so they can log into your account and try it with that particular product.
