Is there an explanation anywhere about recurring/standing orders?

Is there an easy way to create standing orders? I can't find a way from within a customer account. The only way I found to access the feature at all was to add a shortcut on my dashboard to get to the Standing Order screen. Am I missing something? Or is this an outdated feature that isn't supported anymore?

You've actually stumbled on a feature which has never been supported. Neto added internal support many years ago for their own use. You may have noticed your monthly subscription invoices look like they are generated in Neto (although the new billing system may have phased this out).

 

There was talk of eventually releasing standing orders publicly but as far as I know this was abandoned.

 

There is widespread demand for recurring orders. It's possible a third party could create at least a basic implementation as an add-on. Could you explain your use case for recurring orders? The more information we have about how it would be used the more potential there is for it to be developed.
