We are using the new Paypal checkout. Can you use Paypal cards as well (both)?

When I go to add this and log into my Paypal account for verification it asks do I want to convert my account? I am not sure what this means and if it will cause issues for the Paypal checkout integration that is working for now. For card payments we use Stripe but I am not sure if this Paypal option would be preferable for users?
