How do i display the payment method used for an order on the customer invoice/receipt?

Can anyone give me a pointer as to how I can have the payment method used to pay for an order displayed on a customer invoices/receipts?

And why if a customer pays with say Paypal - does the customers recipt/invoice still show bank deposit account details?

Hi Erik,

I am trying to hide my bank details on paid invoices but the tag doesn't seem to show up at all when I open my html file, could there be something I am doing wrong? I just copied and pasted this tag at the end of my invoice template, do I need additional tags around it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rachel,

You mean you put it as the very last text in the template? That won't work as it needs to be inside some of the order printing tags.

The best way is to try and identify the block of code which displays all your payment methods. It can be a lot, mine is about 90 lines. Typically starting with <table> and finishing with </table>, but it's not easy to find. Then you add [%IF [@amount_owed@] > 0.0%] before it and [%/IF%] after it. If you can copy your template into a text file and share it with me (Google drive/dropbox) I can add the tags in for you.
