Has anyone setup a Frequently Asked Questions page and enabled a function to search the FAQ's.

I would like to setup FAQ's and enable a search function. Blogs provide part of the answer but they are not searchable from within NETO.

So:

Option 1 - has anyone setup a search page for Blogs they would like to share.

Option 2 - Is someone able to help with the code required to setup a new template for FAQ's. So far I have created a new Content Type but now I need to add a new template page to allow the FAQ's to be listed on one page and have a search function.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks Matt. That works well. I've tried to create a custom search box but without success. Can you suggest code to make a search box search FAQ's only.

Hi Stewart, my apologies - I'm not sure what happened with the original response. However, I've got some details that may assist you.

Essentially, you would need to create a new content type, then create a custom template for the FAQ content pages to use, which includes a variation of the content_menu and the search (to show any items of that content type).

FAQ setup:

This would be setup as a new content type. We would suggest:

Each individual FAQ is its own page
The Question would be the page name
The Answer contained in the description

You could then use the [%content_menu%] function with the 'get_fields' attribute against the new FAQ content type, and print the FAQs that way: https://developers.maropost.com/documentation/maropost-commerce-cloud-designer-documentation/b-se-tag-library/function-tags/list-content-and-products/content_menu/

Content Search:

This is possibly by triggering the search query against the current page instead of the homepage. You can also add an additional thumb_list to the search_results template to display the content.

You would want an additional search field, or some logic to toggle between the different search types. An additional search field would look something like this (the main difference is the <form> action value):
