How do I set a product to only be available through a discount coupon?

Hi,

 

I'm looking to give away a product with the first 100 orders that come through my store. The free product will only be available for this giveaway, it cannot be purchased separately.

 

I've created the product in Neto, set the stock level to 100 and have set up the discount so that when the order subtotal is more than or equal to $1 the free product is added to the cart.

 

My problem is you can still find the product in the store via search and by navigating to the product category. Then you are able to add it to your cart without applying the discount code or meeting the discount rule. So my question is is there a way for me to hide this product from the rest of the store so it can only be added to the cart via the discount rule?

Try setting the price of the free product to $0, and in your webstore settings untick Show products with no pricing.
