Remember Control Panel Search Setting

On the top of the Control Panel, the pull down value left of the search always defaults to 'Customers' on log in. Could this be remembered from the previous session? A customer asked me for this because he wants to always update one thing each time he logs in. Then when he finishes doing that, he goes to another thing which he updates a lot over several sessions. Quicker turnaround.
