referral commission log

i came across this referral commission log

i cant find any info about it in the support hub other then the fact it has an email template...

who can refer? is it a customer? what do they refer for a product or a new account? where can i see it in the customer account? where is the setting for the commission ..? is there a link in the support hub that explains it all?

This is a somewhat hidden feature of Neto, and I suspect rarely used. It also has no support docs, the link from the add-on store is broken. @Curtis Perri?

Here's the description:

Reward your customers for referring you business. Customers who refer you business can earn credit toward their account. Each time a referred customer purchases from you, a percentage of that sale can be automatically credited to the affiliates (referral customers) account. You can define the % commission they earn per sale on the customers card or set a referral commission per product.

You'll see the "referral" section in a customer's account where you can set the customer who referred them and the commission percentage. That report you linked to would show the referral credits generated. I've never tried it nor do I know anyone using it, but by all means give it a go!

but still cant find where do i set up in the control panel the % of commission.. i have looked in a customer profile under account and other

also i cant find on the website from a customers point of view how he or she can make the referral from their account..

is it possible have to enable it somewhere before the customer can see the feature and i can see the settings in each customer?

Hi,

The referral/affiliate program add-on was deprecated in June 2016. If you had it before then you'll still see it in the add-store page, but it can no longer be installed.

You could take a look at one of the 3rd party add-ons available, Commission Factory and Commission Monster.

For the two mentioned above, you may have to check with them about their workflow, as they manage the integration with Neto.

Hi there @Curtis Perri?,

With this feature disabled, is there any other recourse for generating and tracking affiliate referral links? We reached out to Commission Factory and were told we were unsuitable for their platform, which is understandable given our product range is niche interest. At this stage, we just want the ability to generate a link, track a sale, and then generate a commission for a handful of affiliates.

@Emma Russell? there should still be third party options that will work. You don't actually need any direct support from Neto. It's possible for affiliate links to be tracked using just scripts added to the page (which you can do through Custom Scripts) in Neto. I can't offer any suggestions unfortunately, but look around at a few of the most common systems and see what their requirements are to integrate it into your site.
