This is not a bug, it's intentional to avoid issues with the data sync between Amazon and Catch.
What a lot of people do is make the products inactive, and change a settings to only show active products by default. You can find the setting in Settings & tools > Control panel settings > Show only active item in item list. This will effectively hide the products unless you need to go looking for them.
