When creating shipping consignments in Maropost CC, the system will show the calculated price for different shipping options. One option is selected by default or by a staff member, and a consignment and labels are created.
The problem is that the cost of this consignment is not saved anywhere in the database. So there is no way to see later what a shipment cost you.
I would like the calculated cost of the shipment/consignment as displayed to be saved in the database, and available for export. A report that shows this data as well would be even better.
There would be multiple uses for this data.
1) To identify shipments that are costing significantly more than the price charged to the customer.
2) To work out (rough/estimated) profit margins on orders that include the cost of freight. Currently on an order we can report/export the cost of the product, the sell price of the product, and the sell price of the freight, but not the cost of freight, making working out accurate margins on an order by order basis near impossible.
3) To assist with auditing of Courier/Australia Post freight charges.
Currently there is no easy way to identify if the estimated charges within Neto actually match up with what freight companies are charging.
