Logos

You business logo is one of, if not the most important aspect of your front end design. Without an identifying logo it's difficult for your customers to remember your brand, thus not coming back to buy more!
A logo can provide a really quick insight into the type of brand you are, what you sell and to who.
A good logo is distinctive, appropriate, practical, graphic and simple in form. A logo should be able to be printed at any size and, in most cases, be effective without colour. A great logo essentially boils down to two things: great concept and great execution.
Depending on the type of business you are, and the stage your business is at, launching your Maropost Commerce webstore alongside a new or reviewed logo is an effective way to position yourself in your niche market.
When creating or reviewing your logo follow a process that ensures the final design meets the needs of your business. Research your industry and compare your logo with your competitors. Conceptualise your logo and develop it over time. Your logo is important and should take time.
When sitting down to design your logo, or to pass your ideas on to a designer, it's handy to keep the following core principles in mind:
-
Simple - Simplicity makes a logo design easily recognisable, versatile and memorable.
-
Memorable - Simplicity leads into memorability. A logo design, when simple, is easy to remember.
-
Timeless - A logo should still be effective and relevant 10, 20 or 30 years down the road.
-
Versatile - Your logo should be presentable in one colour or various colours & still recognisable when small or large.
-
Appropriate - How you present your logo should be appropriate for your intended audience. Child-like font style might be okay for a child clothing store or a toy store , but not for a supplement or camping store.
Recommended Website Logo Sizes
Most theme logos are responsive and will scale the logo between 350px and 450px. We recommend uploading a logo with a width of 350px. The height will then depend on how square you want the logo to display.
