As a Merchant who has client cards I would like to be able to use a barcode scan

Hi Team, With the Neto POS. What I would like to do is introduce member cards for my retail store customers. The idea being that they have a card, that we can scan to bring up their information when they are purchasing something, so that reward points are issued to their account, which they can use either instore or online. How can I go about this please? I presume a field in the customer area would have to be created where I can allocate a bar code number (or extract the bar code from the member card when I am handing it over to them for the first time).
