Lot/ Batch numbers

My products are perishable. My products are produced in batches and I keep track of the batches making sure to use the oldest goods first. It would be great if neto inventory had some functionality that made first in first out stock keeping easier, as well as knowing how much from each batch I have in stock. If it was possible to allocate batch numbers/expiry dates when new inventory entered and then track these batches individually this would be very helpful. Ideally when an order is created neto would also indicate which batch should be used first. At the moment I actually use the warehouse location field to keep track of my batches but it's not a perfect solution and I never know how much of each batch I have in stock. It only help me know which batch to use first and when I have a batch on hand that is too old. First in first out stock keeping is very important to any business. It is especially important though when perishable goods are involved.
